Peter our head chef and his team are working hard to offer food that is imaginative, honest, fresh and just plain tasty. No pretensions here the food is local and recognisable as good hearty British/Welsh cuisine, with a few nice surprises…. Our food is local.. organic Welsh Black farmed from local lands and suppliers sourced from the locality. We also produce a good selection of home cooked vegetarian dishes. 

Our dining area is open to non residents for lunch and dinner as well as al fresco dining when the winter sun is shining. 

On Sundays - we offer a traditional Carvery lunch with succulent roast meats, fresh vegetables and extremely tempting puds.

The Bar

The heart of the Castle is its bar with its old beams, an open fire, numerous pictures, colourful locals and delicious pub grub and real ales.
